A
venue for many grand international Equestrian
Championships, ie the 1991 and 1992 FEI/Samsung
International Jumping and Dressage Competition,
World Cup Showjumping, South East Asian League,
Merdeka Equestrian Carnival now known as the
Premier Cup Challenge which has received nationwide
publicity. Touted as one-of-its-kind facility
in the ASEAN region, the arena was specially
built to cater to the sports of equestrian.
Organisers of such events can benefit from the
arena's well maintained sand paddock, air-conditioned
VIP lounge, judges' boxes, comprehensive PA
system, comfortable seating for more than 1,000
spectators, warm-up paddocks, portable stables,
spacious car park and an annexe building which
can be converted into a secretariat/organiser's
office.
With
its high ceiling design, exposed trusses, pillarless
feature and bare flooring, it makes an ideal
venue for exhibitions, product launches, family
days, concerts, circuses, annual dinners and
weddings. The possibilities are countless to
customise the venue to suit various events.
Another
event, the "Clash of the Black Knights"
and Metrojaya Men's Fair were held on a grand
scale in the Indoor Arena.
